Chrysalis Girls Program - Empowering Young Women

The Chrysalis Girls Program is a dynamic, prevention-based counselling program created by young women for young women. The program identifies “at risk” teenage girls aged between 12-17 and offers an intervention education program aimed at reducing and preventing behaviours that left unaddressed often lead to patterns of behaviour and life choices that will impact negatively on themselves and the their wider communities for the course of their lifetimes. Chrysalis is a highly successful program because of its long term, client driven strategies that support and educate participants on a weekly basis for up 4 years.

EYE OF HORUS FOR CHRYSALIS GIRLS PROGRAM

The Chrysalis girls program is a prevention-based support program for young women ‘at risk’. Starting at one High School in 2008, the program is now running at five High Schools across the NSW Northern Rivers: Byron Bay High School, Mullumbimby High School, Kadina High School, Lismore High School and Richmond River High School.

Eye Of Horus Cosmetics wanted to support these young goddesses and donated 60 gift boxes to the girls. Each gift box included a Babylon Brown Mascara, Babylon Brown Liquid Liner, Bronze Amulet Goddess Pencil and Custom Cosmetic Sharpener.

On November 24th '15 the Chrysalis program ran a seminar at the Byron Community Centre called "Healthy Selfie" to create awareness about some of the implications that can occur with uploading certain types of images online.

We attended this seminar to further support the Chrysalis Girls program and it was great to hear what the girls got out of it at the end.
