International Women’s Day: A Moment to Pause, Breathe & Celebrate

As a proudly woman-led, woman-owned and woman-operated business, International Women’s Day is more than a date on the calendar - it’s a moment for reflection, gratitude and connection. This year, rather than simply marking the occasion, we chose to pause.

As a team, we stepped away from our desks and came together for a guided afternoon breathwork class with SUR-UNDER - a beautiful local wellness studio known for creating spaces that support mindfulness, movement and connection.

Breathwork is a powerful practice that supports both mental and physical wellbeing. Through intentional breathing, it can help reduce stress, calm the nervous system, increase mental clarity and create a deeper sense of presence. It’s also known to support emotional release, improve focus and restore energy - something many of us don’t realise we need until we pause long enough to feel the shift.

For us, the experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of slowing down, reconnecting and creating space for ourselves.

In business, and in life, women often carry many roles. We lead, create, nurture, innovate and support. Taking time to breathe - intentionally and collectively - was our way of honouring not just what we do, but who we are. Because behind every product, campaign and conversation at Eye of Horus is a team of passionate women bringing vision, dedication and heart to their work.
