As autumn rolls around, with it comes a palette of rich, earthy tones, metallic accents and warm textures. This season is all about embracing the warmth of fall colours — in this journal, we show you step by step how to seamlessly blend these elements into your beauty ritual, creating looks that capture the essence of the season.
GET THE LOOK — AUTUMN BEAUTY
Shifting seasons can sometimes disturb our skin's protective barrier. Begin by prepping the skin, using the Seven Seed Sacred Oil. This will ensure a smooth, hydrated base for applying makeup.
Next we go in for the base with the Second Skin Foundation. The radiance boosting formula lends effortlessly onto skin, blending and building coverage seamlessly for an enhanced complexion and undetectable finish. With skincare actives and mineral sun protection, the Second Skin Foundation is great option year-round.
Conceal any remaining redness, dark circles or blemishes with the Triple C Concealer.
We then add warmth to the cheeks with the Complexion Duo Universal . When contouring, a flattering technique on most face shapes, is to contour along the hollows of your cheeks beginning near your ears and extending no farther than your pupils. This gives the appearance of a more defined facial structure. Opt for a smaller, dense makeup brush like Vegan Contour Brush for precision.
For the eyeshadow, we begin priming the eyes with 'Dust' as a base, covering the entire lid.
Next we focus on lid Definition using 'Burn' and 'Halo'. Using the Eyeshadow brush, apply 'Burn' to the centre of lids. Blend towards inner and outer corners. Layer 'Halo' on the centre for a shimmering effect. Blend edges seamlessly.
Now to add depth to the outer corners and crease with 'Earth'. Apply 'Earth' with Blending Brush to outer corners and crease. Blend for depth and richness.
Lastly, highlight brow bone and inner corners of eye with Luminous Highlighter Solar Quartz. This can also be added to anywhere the sun naturally hits, above the cheekbones, bridge of the nose and cupids bow.
Finish the eyes off with a few layers of your favourite Mascara. Try Goddess Mascara in black or brown for maximum volume and impact or the Lash Lift Mascara for long, lifted lashes.
Groom, fill and set brows using the Dual Brow. Brush brows with a spoolie to reveal and sparse areas. Draw short, upward strokes in the direction of hair growth. Sculpt brows into place with short upward strokes using gel. Then, allow the gel to dry to a natural flake-resistant finish.
Complete the look with your favourite lip duo, we lined the lips with Lip Liner Nude and filled with Bio Lipstick Peach. A peach-coral lip is a staple year-round but especially in Summer and Autumn months, it warms up most complexions and adds a cheerful flush of colour to your face. Finish with a layer of the Lip Elixir for a subtle rose shimmer with a high-gloss finish.
